Rota book featuring photographs of Rota
from the late 70s through a foreigner's eyes
Memories of Rota - the years 1976 to 1979
I have confirmed a publishing sponsor and am now working on putting together my personal thoughts, comments and images that I have in my mind and negative archives to publish my first-ever book, featuring my black and white images of Rota created while here in the late 70s as a young sailor.
This labor of love will be a book published locally in spanish and english, consisting of a collection of images with personal commentary included of the Rota I first fell in love with when I arrived here enroute my first naval ship somewhere in the med. I returned several times again, each time another mystery revealed. I was lucky enough to get orders here and spent the best years of my life here during that tour, though I was never to return in a working status.
Am hoping the book pages/design will be finished (hopefully by fall 2009), then sent to the publishers. If you are interested in receiving news of this book, please email me.
